Biog
Colin studied music at Dartington College of Arts and has taught singing and composition for over 15 years. He has sung and taught around the UK as well as in France, Egypt, Cyprus, Soain and New York. His solo work includes performing alongside Jacqui Dankworth.
He has led choirs for various productions including Ellen Kent touring opera and Bill Kenwright's touring shows Evita and Joseph.
In 2009 he began his own company, Big Noise Chorus Ltd, running adult community choirs singing secular music. He now has 5 choirs across Devon involving over 450 singers.
In 2014 he spent a term working as a singing technique teacher at Arts Educational Schools in West London, which provides performers into the West End. From 203-2016 he toured the UK as a choir master with integrated circus company Extraordinary Bodies with their show, Weighting.
He regularly meets with medical voice experts to ensure his technical knowledge is up to date with the latest medical findings and has recently finished a pilot project working with speech and language therapists in the world's first study examining whether singing technique can be proven to aid in the feminisation of the voice for transgender clients.
His approach is relaxed, friendly and lively.
